Living The Resurrection Life
While we are attending church gatherings on Sundays of January, we have been listening to messages on “The Resurrection Life.” In some way, we all are being formed. Whether it’s from the world or the church ways of doing some things.
There are some practices of in which the church should be doing. The church has been practicing these things seen ancient of days. We as the church should capture these practices in our walk with Jesus.
Here are some of those practices:
The practice of hearing Scriptures read aloud in a gathering of the saints. The practice of having a meal together as in Communion. We are being formed when we do this.
The practice of Prayer: These prayers are crafted prayers by the church authorities. The church prays the prayer. The church prays the psalm of the day. We are being formed as we pray the prayer.
The practice of Fasting: This is the Friday fast. We are giving up a meal to hear from God. While giving what we would have bought for lunch to the poor. [ Project 58 from Isaiah 58. ]
The practice of Spiritual Formation:
This series of Sunday’s messages will continue in February. If we are willing to allow the Holy Spirit to guide us, we can life out the resurrection life. We have to go on God’s power, not our own.
May we who believe in Jesus continue in the practice of the church. May we allow God to help us practice as His body of believers. May we be transformed as we go about the resurrected life. May we allow the Holy Spirit to help us along our journey in Jesus’ Name. Amen!
