In The Quiet, Still

In The Quiet, Still
By S. A. Blakley

In the quiet, still, Listening to thoughts
So strange in hearing, Should I not or ought?

To ponder such things, Persist in doing
What’s in my heart, To like pursuing

Not from my soul realm, Feelings of dismay
But, still, in quiet, The place where to pray

My inner spirit, Leading me the way
In the quiet, still In all of my days
