Reflecting On My Old Year: Staying On The Journey With Jesus

The Journey RockIt’s getting closer to my New Year. It’s been an interesting week. I started it off by gathering with the people of God at Word of Life Church.  It was a beautiful gathering.

The beauty of the Lord surrounded us as we praised and worshipped.  We had scripture reading, give in the offering, heard a message and receive communion. It’s our tradition as a church.

As we came as the church, we receive a brown bag with a bulletin, a booklet,  a sharpie and a rock in it. We were instructed to do with it at the appropriate time.  The message was about The Journey we are on with Jesus as His body,  the church.

We were asked to write our name on the rock. Than after we received communion the place the rock on the platform where other rocks were. It was a moment to remember.

I saw this as an expression of my faith. I’m a witness of Jesus Christ, the crucified One. I’m apart of a church community. We’re on the journey with Jesus as a community.

I’ve decided to stay on the Journey with Jesus.
It’s been a long journey.
And it feels like the journey has just begun again.
There’s no turning back, no turning back.

May the Lord direct our path to be become a worshiping and just community. Amen!
Blessings to you on your journey.
Thanks for reading.
