May we grow and experience faith on the journey of life.

I’ve been thinking about the word without. We can do without things. We feel the lack of without. Then we can look without as in thinking behold where things are. There’s a difference in how we think of without.

Doing without things: We all have don’t that in some seasons in our lives. There are times in our lives when I couldn’t have the things that we wanted. We have no choice but to do without.

This causes us to do things differently when we are without things. We have a limit. There are things that we do. where we have to go a certain way. We have faith to believe in what we do.

We all have a measure of faith. Faith is what we believe to be. We have the force of faith in our lives. We also have the focus of fear in our lives. Fear is the opposite of faith.

We can lack faith in believing in something. We have to grow our faith. That takes some time in doing. Yes, faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God.

Fear can slow us down. Our faith my appear weak in some areas of our lives. It make seem that we don’t believe. But not necessarily.

We can believe with little faith about some things. We can believe that the sun is hot. We can believe that there is oxygen in the room. Whether we see the sun’s heat or breathe oxygen that we can’t see, we believe without thinking on the matter.

When it comes times to have faith to believe in doing things, we have to believe by acting out on what we believe. We can do things afraid. And yet still believe.

It doesn’t take much to believe that we can breathe. It comes nature to us. It will take some faith to believe that we can fly in an airplane when we haven’t done so. It takes experience to do.

We build up on our faith as we experience life in believing. God gives us the faith to do things. We have to act out on what God gives us. We just have to trust and believe in God.

Doing without; takes faith. And doing without makes us think… It brings out our character in us. We all have a measure of faith. We have to allow our faith to grow as we grow in the LORD.

May we learn to do without. May we learn that without faith we can’t please God. May we grow in the faith that God gives us. May we believe by stepping out in the faith that we have. May we grow and experience faith on the journey of life. Amen.

Thanks for reading.

Scripture:
Without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exits and that he rewards those who earnestly see him. Hebrews 11:6 NIV

About oxyen. I now have to pay for it due to my medical a condition.

Once we were so poor that we were hungry for 3 days. We age flour and water pancakes and used water and sugar for syrup. We did without basic food.

Once I had to grocery shop and we had so little money that I would not buy anything we could not eat. We did not do without basic food, but we had no frills of any kind.

We always rented during my career since we could not afford to buy a house. Everyone at work thought I was throwing money away with rent money. We did without a nice house, but I was able to accept new company offers of better jobs elsewhere and could move immediately. I always bought a lease break agreement from the landlords.

However, 11 months before I retired and we were worried about where to live and how to afforded it, and aunt left my wife her house as an inheritence.

I did without credit cards for four years to get out of debt.

    Doing without is often good.

God always met our needs. Jesus said to pray for food. Some in the world are starving. The USA is the most obese nation in the world. We need to do without.
