I’ve been on facebook for 9 years. I’ve created a lot of memories. I came across a lot of friends. And as I was looking through my 805 facebook friends’ list, I looked at every face and name. Majority of them I can say, where I met them. Some, I had to think.
Most of my facebook friends and I have family connections. Also there are people I’ve met through the church, people who I went to school with, and people who I choose to be friends with. I’ve been slowing down on some things on facebook. I don’t accept friends request like I use to.
Facebook has changed over the years. I’ve been learning what not to do. There are a lot of hackers out there. We have to be careful. I’ve been learning.
I have 11 friends who don’t have a profile photo. 8 friends who have deactivated their accounts, 9 friends have passed. And 7 friends with 2 fb accounts. According to facebook, I have 805 friends. In which, there are 17 accounts that are not active. 7 accounts are double.
I have 13 friends request from people who have been my friend on facebook. Some how they got locked out of their account or had to recreate a new one. I didn’t accept their request and deleted two of them.
Oh, the world of facebook. I’m not as much into it as I was in my early years. There were times I took a vacation. I need to from time to time. But, I have a group of friends I know and they know me. That’s the main thing I’ve enjoy about facebook.
I don’t live in facebook land. I’m there when I am. I want to see how my family members and dear friends are doing and what they share. I don’t play games. I had to remove messenger from my phone. It been getting too many emails games.
As I’m making my way into my double digits on facebook, next year, things will be different. I’m not stepping away. I’m thankful that I’m on the facebook journey.
May we be careful when we’re on social media platforms.
May we encourage and build up one another.
May we be Christ like to those we meet in our world.
Amen.

God bless you.
