My Neighborhood

The 35th Week of Gratitude:  Your Neighborhood ~  I’m thankful for my neighborhood of today and the ones of yester-years. I’ve been creating memories  a long the journey. I’ve been reflecting back over my upbringing and into my adulthood. Thank You, Jesus!

As I look back to my early years, there were a steady group of neighbors for years and years and years. There were a lot of family members living near one another. There were generations who grow up on the blocks.

We kids played in the streets.  Some of us did a lot of fun things together. One thing I remember, there were a lot of dogs running around. And there were a lot of trees.

Where I live now, the people in my neighborhood are middle age and younger. They come for a while and leave. They do what they do.  There are neighborly neighbors. There are some children who ride their bicycles in the streets. There are a lot of people who walk. I notice that there are less dogs.

I’ve been making memories here too. I  reflect back on the neighborhood the I grew up on. Those days have been long gone. I’m thankful for my neighbors. God bless our neighborhood.  For now, I’m in the neighborhood where God has planted me.

May the LORD watch over our neighborhoods.
May there be peace as we come and go.
Amen.

Hope all will have a wonderful month of September!
Thanks for reading.
God bless you.
